As a nurse, I am able to interpret medical documents, including illegible records.  I can then take the relevant information and turn complex medical and nursing issues into a working theme that is easier to understand.  Because of my nursing experience, I am also able to identify what records should be part of a medical chart and can help identify records that have been tampered with or are missing. If a record is missing, this can be a major issue in defining the events of the case.  If a record has been tampered with, I am able to locate and work closely with a forensic document examiner who can review the record and testify to the evidence.
