Founded in 2007 and based in Springfield, MO, Advantage Medical-Legal Consulting, LLC serves both Plaintiff and Defense firms throughout the state of Missouri.  The goal of Advantage Medical-Legal Consulting is to provide time-efficient, cost-effective medical expertise to attorneys handling medical-related cases. 

Having medical personnel on your litigation team is critical to achieving the best outcome for your client, whether Plaintiff or Defendant.  As a trained Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, I am able to quickly determine whether the Standards of Care have been breached or adhered to with a brief merit screening in a Medical Malpractice suit.  This saves an enormous amount of time and money if a case proves to not have merit.  When I find that a case DOES have merit, I am able to find the causal event in the records and help you formulate a theoretical foundation for your case development.

In Personal Injury cases I am able to assist the attorney in discovering whether or not an injury is directly related to the accident in question. I am then able to organize, summarize and translate the medical records.  I am then able to prepare an opinion report based on the medical records to support your position and prepare you for what the opposing side may argue. 

In order for a jury to understand the complexity of most medical cases, the attorney must be able to present the case in a clear, understandable manner.  I can help you put volumes of medical records into an easy-to-read and understand format, complete with an index and charts, that will allow you quick access to the relevant entries and documents during a deposition or trial.  Due to my years of educating patients and employees, I am able to explain complicated records and procedures into simple, understandable terms that take the mystery out of health care and medical records.
